about
Moon Dock: Track 5 is an interesting version of the song formally known as, "Mary's Moon." I felt people wouldn't understand the Mary Hatch reference from the film, "It's A Wonderful Life," so the name was changed. Coincidentally, inspiration for the early stages of this song were credited to, Mary Beth Lengel and Mary Fraser. It's about staying curious and looking to the stars. Sometimes all you need to travel to the moon is your eyes.

Moon Dock
Music & Lyrics By: Nathaniel Hockman
ISS; ISS to Houston, Do you copy?
Houston: Copy that, always and forever.
How’s the weather up there?
ISS: David Graham here, I’m on the observation deck,
reporting from the ISS. Although it has been a long few months,
I really think you guys need to see what I am looking at.
Houston: Requesting detailed anaylisis.
ISS: There seems to be a human life-form, possibly a man,
or it looks like blue jeans and a white tank top making
snow angels on the lunar surface near, Mare Tranquillitatis.
Houston: Are you sure?
ISS: See for yourself
Everyone should know a thing or two about the moon,
And the stars that shine so bright every night.
We catch a glimpse of you and I.
It’s warm and it’s cold in a different way,
When we leave the Earth’s orbit later on today,
So put away your money and your mundane ways,
Shoot for the moon and take a ride today.
Lack of air,
It’s oval path,
Spins heads around the entire globe,
Just follow the course you chose,
And let everybody know.
Looking through the glass,
Make observation notes,
When you find a face that smiles back,
And you tie down that rope,
Step right off your boat.
Your eyes become your ship,
As far as you can see,
You just traveled to the moon,
No need to come home soon.
Just look right at the moon.
The rays she displays,
On the ground, not a sound with our feet down,
Don’t be afraid,
The moon is yours to take.
