about
Starlight: Track 6 was a song written in 2015 about showing gratitude to one's that have helped me over the years. It included a last minute tease to a track called, "Winters' Breeze," that I wrote as a kid. It's an ode to the legacy you leave with people near and far. There's mention of this song in a novella I wrote entitled, "Daniel David."

Music & Lyrics By: Nathaniel Hockman
If I die tomorrow,
If I die today,
I left the living with joy and love.
I left it yesterday.
If I die tomorrow,
If I die today,
I left the living with joy and love.
I left it yesterday.
I owe you the sky and the moon.
Hopefully your eyes get there soon.
I owe you the trees and the ocean blue,
And the nearest star to you.
If I die tomorrow,
If I die today,
I’d like to let you hear my words and understand my praise.
Cry about our laughter,
Smile about the rain,
Nothing but love for you my dear,
Your love dissolves the pain.
I owe you the sky and the moon.
Hopefully your eyes get there soon.
I owe you the trees and the ocean blue,
And the nearest star to you.
People leave and people stay,
It’s hard to tell who will go which way.
No harm no foul they’ll come and go,
Just know it’s a road they got to go.
You can’t be so certain, what’s behind tomorrow’s curtain.
The life you live just live it well,
And spread your love and live to tell.
