about
Pearl: The song, "Pearl," originally was named, "Peace Lily," started as a song about growth and turned into a tribute to my best friends baby girl, Pearl. It's basically a track for her and also a song to remind her she is and will always be special and loved.
This song was recorded on Pearl Street in Ypsilanti, Michigan and the drum sample was recorded on my Pearl drum set.

Get lost in the sunrise,
It’s fading away.
Unleash an appetite,
For yet another day.
Old age is a cold breeze,
Best to stay at home?
What good is a warm bed,
When you’re there all alone.
Pearl,
You’re like a lily, growing fast.
The light in your eyes, will shine all the time,
Making life divine.
The world,
Shares the shape as you,
But the Earth is blue.
You’re as strong as the waves, in all of the days,
You might be the moon.
Get lost in the sunrise,
It’s fading away.
Unleash an appetite,
For yet another day.
Old age is a cold breeze,
Best to stay at home?
What good is a warm bed,
When you’re there all alone.
When,
The candle is lit and we don’t just melt the wax,
We light up the world by burning the wick,
Making memories last.
Don’t,
Shorten your wick when the candle is lit.
Putting warmth in the wax,
The time will go fast.
Watch the time tick quick.
Get lost in the sunrise,
It’s fading away.
Unleash an appetite,
For yet another day.
Old age is a cold breeze,
Best to stay at home?
What good is a warm bed,
When you’re there all alone.
We,
Walk on the surface, it’s not what we dream to be,
Ten thousand evenings,
Each one fades away,
You must feel the light of day.
Love,
It wraps around you so well,
Through and through.
The wick and the wax,
Brings light that will last, All the love to you.
Get lost in the sunrise,
It’s fading away.
Unleash an appetite,
For yet another day.
Old age is a cold breeze,
Best to stay at home?
What good is a warm bed,
When you’re there all alone.
